I always have mixed feelings as we head into the New Year.

On the one hand, I’m sad that the holidays are almost over. I love the time with family and friends. I love all the decorating, baking and crafts that the kids and I do. And yes, I love all of the rich and indulgent food.

On the other hand, I genuinely look forward to cleaning up my diet, because I know that I will start feeling better almost immediately.

The secret for me to stay motivated, is to make sure that my healthier dishes taste amazing!

I rarely order a salad when I eat out, because the taste of salads is so dependent on the salad dressing. Unless I am in a fine dining establishment, I’ve found that salad dressings almost always disappoint me.

This Asian Salad Dressing is one you are going to want to put in your regular rotation. It is fabulous on my Asian Quinoa Salad, but I also enjoy it with a green salad.

I have found that I am much more likely to throw a salad together if I’ve got homemade salad dressing in the fridge, so recipes like this are key to getting back on track with healthy eating after the holidays.
