These Slow Cooker Collard Greens with Bacon is one of those easy recipes that will have your reaching for your crock pot time and again.  A great Southern style side dish for the holidays or New Years.

When things get busy this time of year, I find myself reaching for my slow cooker on a regular basis.

This year, I upgraded my slow cooker to a multi cooker, and it I am finding myself using it daily.

I am completely in love with the Ninja® Cooking System with Auto-iQ™. When I first heard about it, I thought it was just a fancy slow cooker. It is actually four appliances in one!

It works as a slow cooker, a stovetop for searing and sauteing, a steamer and an oven. I love how I can use multiple functions on one appliance and end up with fewer dishes to take care of!

(Can I get a hooray for fewer dishes?! Plus, it cleans up so quickly.)Ninja Multi Cooker

For those days when I’m not in the mood to cook, the Auto-iQ™ Technology features more than 80 pre-programmed recipes. The cookbook that comes with it serves as your guide – you just select a recipe number, add the ingredients and let Auto-iQ™ do all the work! You can choose from quick and easy meals, grains, poached infusions and layered bowls.

Very often I find myself using the Ninja® Cooking System by starting by searing meat on the stove top and then finishing the dish in the slow cooker. That is what I did with these Slow Cooker Collard Greens.

I love the slow cooker – it makes your slow cooker recipes a snap. Ninja’s Triple Fusion Heat® brings bottom, side, and steam heat together for easy one-pot meals. (Most slow cooker’s heat only from the side.) It has ACCUTEMP temperature control that makes sure your meals cook evenly and don’t boil over.

The baking function lets you control temperatures between 250°–425°F so that you can bake a roast and steam bake bread and cakes.
