There have been so many times that I have gone to the grocery store after planning out my meals for the week and have ended up throwing away produce that I never even had the chance to use. Oh and the best part, Blue Apron sends everything right to your doorstop in a perfectly packaged refrigerated box keeping everything nice and fresh for hours until you get home from work! This was actually really helpful for me this past delivery because I was stuck at work pretty late and didn’t get home until almost 8:00 PM. I was honestly a little worried about my ingredients sitting in the box for that long, but sure enough everything was ice cold and looked as if it had just been packaged!
I’ve used Blue Apron’s meal delivery service a dozen times now or so and each time the meals seriously get better and better. I was really excited about this particular recipe for Miso Chicken with Ramen! This is something I wouldn’t normally make at home so it forced my hubby and I to step outside the box and try something new. You guys, these ramen noodles are FRESH! None of that hard, crunchy processed stuff you had in college, we’re talking fresh, pillowy soft pasta noodles that took only 2 minutes to cook in boiling water! Fresh ingredients like this is just one of the many reasons I love using Blue Apron and they are always adding new seasonal recipes to their menu each week!
This recipe also had so many delicious components and was a fun dish to cook with my husband! I chopped up the veggies while he made the sauce then as I was cooking and shredding the chicken he marinated the cucumber and the tomatoes. It was nice dividing each step up and our delicious dinner came together beautifully. SO many great flavors like ginger and miso and I can’t begin to tell you how filling this was too! It was the perfect dish to end the summer as we start to go into fall.

I also received two other recipes in my box which included Cod and Fairy Tale Eggplants along with Seared Steaks in Thyme Pan Sauce with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans. Both recipes were really good! The steaks were definitely Chris’ favorite while this miso chicken and ramen was mine. Each meal comes with 2 or 3 healthy sides so nothing is ever boring and is always filling!
